Over a period of ten days, members of Demamu and Bomosa joined hands with Embark to undertake this mission. During this short window, they captured, provided medical care to, and released between 20 to 30 street dogs back into their natural habitat.

Embark, the Sri Lanka-based animal protection program, operates mobile veterinary clinics in the form of vans that routinely traverse neighborhoods inhabited by street dogs. Dogs that have not been neutered are captured by the team and transported to the mobile clinic for thorough examination.

To ensure a seamless process, the dogs are sedated and meticulously inspected by the veterinary team. If necessary, they are neutered and vaccinated. After a period of recovery, they are released back into the exact location where they were initially captured.
